The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance -- Aristotle
The Saratoga Toga Party will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 7 o'clock in the evening at 218 West Saratoga Street, sitting just between Park and Howard Streets.
The Saratoga Toga Party is a multi-faceted event highlighting area artists, while also celebratroy of MAP's homecoming - a return to our building now located within the Bromo Tower Arts and Entertainment District on Baltimore's west side.
Every fall MAP produces its annual fall benefit -- an important and crucial part of the organization's annual fundraising initiatives, but more importantly the event is a conduit for MAP to present interesting and relevant themes being explored within contemporary art today. This fall will be no different as MAP persues the topic of Greek and Roman mythology; and the visual outcomes of that exploration as translated through performance and 2-D and 3-D artwork.
