Those on our guest list are already anticipating what should prove to be the most elegant (and wild) contemporary arts event of the year. The evening will begin with delectable hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, enjoyed during a leisurely opportunity to preview artwork by premiere area artists, followed by a stimulating live auction filled with highly collectable items (including work by Grace Hartigan, Joyce J. Scott, Raoul Middleman, Rodney Carroll and David Hess, among others) as well as non-art packages featuring (tempting) exclusive trips, and one-of-a-kind objects. Throughout the evening, guests will continually be tempted by servers presenting sumptuous cuisine, desserts, and an ever-flowing open bar. In addition, MAP’s guests will also have an opportunity to bid on dozens of individual artworks in the silent auction, featuring a wide array of work by both renowned and emerging artists, including Connie Imboden, Karl Connolly, Julia Niederman, Sasha Blanton and Jason Hughes (among others.) The silent auction will close at 10:30 pm. Proceeds from the By Invitation Only benefit gala will directly support MAP’s ongoing programming and educational initiatives throughout the year.
