Maryland Art Place & Susan Lee-Chun
Proudly Present
C’mon Baltimore, Everybody Suz-ercise!
6:00pm, June 23, 2010
Baltimore Inner Harbor near the National Aquarium

On Wednesday, June 23, at 6pm, Maryland Art Place and Miami-based artist Susan Lee-Chun present C’mon Baltimore, Everybody Suz-ercise!, in an exhilarating performance in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

The back story: This February this year, Lee-Chun invited Baltimoreans to participate in Suz-ercise!, the artist’s fabricated fitness program. Only five months later, this June 23, a certified team outfitted in futuristic workout gear will present a specially choreographed Suz-ercise routine.

Using popular networking sites such as Youtube and Facebook The Suz (Sue, Su and Sioux the artist’s alter-egos) have created a faux-real product and experience. “Their” website TheSuzItsFauxReal.com offers Official Online Training Guide and DIY instructions for creating Suz-Authentic Workout gear for all the “Suz-ercisers” in us. This super fit, high mode workout regime is accessible to all.

To quote the Official Online Training Guide: “ We, The Suz, have specifically choreographed a workout performance that is influenced by calisthenics, and reminiscent of color guard and military formations. It's our mission to provide all Suz-ercisers the proper tools to work together to pursue our immeasurable goals of ultimate happiness and fulfillment.”

C’mon Baltimore, Everybody Suz-ercise!
is a special public art project designed by artist Susan Lee-Chun in collaboration with Maryland Art Place. The multi-media project, Everybody Suz-ercise! has been presented at the Bemis Center in Omaha, NE; Threewalls, Chicago, IL; David Castillo Gallery, Miami, FL; Sagamore Art Hotel, Miami Beach, FL; and Contemporary Art Forum (SBCAF), Santa Barbara, CA
